SoulZU Musicians
It's all about having the right people...

Vocalists

With hot harmonies and cool moves, the SoulZU singers are super funky onstage.

Mel Dever: Our Melbourne born funk diva has a ripping top end and a velvet bottom end. She oozes diva style but doesnt mind sweating for the cause as long as her audience is having a great time.

Dani Garner: With a voice that hits all the high notes Dani can take on Beyonce and Christina Aguilera with ease.

Wylie.J: Is our special guest vocalist all the way from America. Our big man of soul has seen it all...and done most of it too!

Funky Horns of Doom

Horn Section
(Baritone, Tenor, Alto, Trumpet)

You couldnt have authentic soul without these four guys blowing their funky horns.

David Hine: Our baritone player and horn section leader. He likes to dance with the ladies while he's blowing his big honk of a saxophone!

Glen Kerridge: is on alto sax and is our longest serving member...you get less for murder!

Damien Johnson: is our youngest player with a whole lot of funky talent that gets the girls attention.

Glenn Minto: Our trumpeter with homemade plumbing attachments. Very funky.

Rhythm SectionRhythm Section
(Drums, bass, guitar, keyboard)

These four funky groovers form the pulsing heartbeat of SoulZU.

Andrew Chen: is our guitarist and backing vocalist...and just as importantly as MD he keeps the band super tight and super funky.

Rodney Rawiri: is our bass soul brother who loves to love da funk!

Sean Butler: Our keys player is a dapper chap with a cool little jockey cap all the way from England.

Peter McIvor: our newest member is a funky drummer who has played all over the world and loves a deep hard groove.

Cornel Tudorov - Band Manager

Management

Cornel 'tough love' Tudorov is responsible for “project managing” SoulZU into the successful band it is today. His engineering background has given him a highly focussed approach to the role of band manager.

He has a “hands on” management style to ensure the client's needs are always exceeded. He ensures the musicians are always well prepared and on time. In the words of the late, great James Brown, “papa dont take no mess”.

During SoulZU gigs Cornel can usually be found sitting behind the sound desk making sure the dynamics of our performance is spot on.
